Sudden and violent inflammation and / or fever. Throbbing pain. Redness, burning and radiant heat that also feels warm to the touch. Fearful fever hallucinations that can even lead to violent behavior. Extreme sensitivity to touch, sound, light and noise.
Belladonna symptoms appear early in inflamed states. The symptoms come on fast and the affected area is very red and is extremely sensitive to touch. Be careful if you have to look at the patient’s throat or ears, as even a small movement can trigger a violent reaction.
Often a throbbing pulsating sensation is can be felt in the painful area. The patient is flustered in the face and has dilated pupils. The patient feels dizzy or as if in a dream.
Use this remedy where the described symptoms are present and where there is a risk of inflammation. If this remedy is given at the right time, infection can be prevented. If there is then it is too late to use belladonna and you need to look at other remedies like hepar sulph or mercurius.
Use for heavy bleeding with very red and hot blood that almost feels thin like water. Well used for breast symptoms that occur during breastfeeding that match the description above. The skin is dry and warm, and often the symptoms are experienced on the right side of the body. Symptoms are worse around 3pm. The condition occurs suddenly. Not very thirsty but still wants lemonade.
In short: Violent, dry heat with a lot of redness. Throbbing pain.
