Great remedy for colds and acute sinusitis (chronic sinusitis should be treated by a homeopath). The best way to recognize that kali bich is needed is when observing stringy, thick and almost rubber-like catarrh, which can only be blown out with much straining. It starts off as white / clear catarrh but later becomes both yellow and smelly. Gradually, small sores appear inside the nose. Earlier stages of kali bich can be recognized by sneezing a lot and losing sense of smell (see also nat mur).

Symptoms can also be experienced in the joints, with bone pain, noisy joints and stiffness in the joints.

Suitable for those who get sick after being very cold, or who feel very cold while they are sick. But even though they are cold, they feel the worst in the summer.

The pain is often experienced in small, well-defined areas, which can be relieved with locally applied heat, but the pain may move from place to place.

You feel the worst right after waking up, at night and after a meal. It is also a remedy used by the homeopath to drain fluid in the ears.

It is recommended to take ‘glue ear’ to a homeopath for treatment, as there may be a need for other remedies as well.

In short: Thick and stringy catarrh that is almost like rubber.

Other helpful hints: Can also be used to relieve hangovers, along with nux vomica. Especially after drinking beer.
