Dehydration and weakness. All symptoms that come after dehydration and make the patient weakened and apathetic. Given after losing a lot of fluid because one has been sweating, vomiting, lost blood or had diarrhea.

China is not the first remedy we think of in connection with diarrhea, but it is a good remedy when it is persistent, painless and results in dehydration. Give for diarrhea and vomiting that comes immediately after eating. Stools with undigested food. Also given for abdominal symptoms with bloating, that is not relived by burping (See Carbo veg).

The symptoms get worse from a light touch, but better after a hard pressure is put on the symptomatic area.

Sunburn, malaria and painful flatulence after surgery. Periodic fever followed by cold and then heavy sweating, just like the classic malaria symptoms.

The patient gets better from lying down, by fasting and by walking with loose clothing.

Other helpful hints: You may also want to take extra vitamin C after dehydration, as this helps with re-hydration.
