A good remedy for healing surgical wounds and cuts, this remedy is often used in moisturizers and ointments. If you have calendula as herbal drops you can add them to the bath, or you can mix the drops with a little water and dab the solution on the affected area.
Calendula is also a very useful first aid medicine for wounds, superficial burns, sores on the scalp, and red blemishes, as well as after tooth extractions. It is also a remedy that is used quite routinely after childbirth to heal the skin.
Calendula stimulates good tissue formation in open wounds. Take if you experience symptoms associated with inflammation.
Use is indicated for skin symptoms where heat application brings relief, and when the individual feels better after a walk or when lying completely still. Use is also indicated when the individual feels worse in high humidity and in the evening.
In short: Always good for skin symptoms.
Other helpful hints: Often given together with hepar sulph.
